| hot-button issues, and an unmatched dedication to listeners; |

| WHEREAS, A true radio pioneer, John "J.R." Rohwer wielded |

| memorable impact upon the Rock River Valley community |
| 9 |
| throughout his 40 plus years on the air; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The number one radio broadcaster in the Valley |
| 11 |
| challenged his listeners to discuss difficult issues, like the |
| 12 |
| closing of the local steel mill, for the benefit of the |
| 13 |
| community; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The son of a Navy veteran-turned-radio man and an |
| 15 |
| Illinois farm girl with a knack for radio engineering, John |
| 16 |
| "J.R." Rohwer is a man of faith, known for his sensitive nature |
| 17 |
| and introspective depth; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, As the devoted father of Jim and Matt, Mr. Rohwer |
| 19 |
| treasured special moments with his beloved sons, teaching them |
| 20 |
| the lessons of life while fishing or playing baseball or |
| 21 |
| football; and |
