HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the staff and 
4
residents of The Village at Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst on the 
5
20th anniversary of the community; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The 38-acre campus of The Village of Victory Lakes 
7
is a retirement community located on a picturesque setting in 
8
Lindenhurst; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Residents can enjoy coffee and freshly baked 
10
pastries in the country store; there is a bank and a Great 
11
Room, with residents involved in card games, television 
12
programs, and lively discussion; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, A beauty shop, an arts and crafts room, and a  
14
computer center are on one level of the 30,000 square foot 
15
Village Center; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Residents enjoy peaceful surroundings, a quiet 
17
environment, and a friendly staff ready to help them in any 
18
situation; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, As a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), 
20
residents can spend the best part of their lives at The

Village, moving between independent living, assisted living, 
2
and nursing home care based on their changing needs; the 
3
extensive health care services also include rehabilitation and 
4
therapies, respite, and Alzheimer's care; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
congratulate everyone involved with The Village at Victory 
8
Lakes and wish them the best on this special occasion; and be 
9
it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to the Mary Riggs, Executive Director, as a symbol of 
12
our respect.
