HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to honor Steven S. Wilder, Chief of 
4
the Bradley Fire Department, on his retirement on April 30, 
5
2008, after serving for 31 years; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, He began his career with the Bradley Fire 
7
Department on March 14, 1977 at 18 years of age; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, He received his EMT-B in 1977, his EMT-I in 1982, 
9
and his paramedic license in 1984; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, He rose through the ranks of the Bradley Fire 
11
Department, receiving a rank as Engineer in 1984, Lieutenant in 
12
1987, Captain in 1991, Deputy Chief in 1998, and Chief in 2001; 
13
and

 
14
    WHEREAS, He has received many certifications throughout 
15
the years for his hard work and devotion to the people of 
16
Bradley; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, He was honored to work with his family over the 
18
years, including his father-in-law, Chief Albert Wingo, whom he 
19
served with during his first years with the Department; his 
20
son, Ryan (Bull) Wilder, who joined the Department in 1999; his

son, Daniel Wilder, who joined the Department in 2001; and his 
2
daughter-in-law, Tara (Downs) Wilder, who joined the 
3
Department in 2002; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6
congratulate Steven Wilder on his retirement and wish him the 
7
best as he enjoys time with his wife, Debbie, his grandson, 
8
Owen, and his children, Megan, Ryan, and Daniel; and be it 
9
further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11
presented to Chief Steven Wilder as a symbol of our sincere 
12
respect.
