HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Vanessa Arellano 
4
and Jose Ochoa as they are united in marriage; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Vanessa Arellano was born and raised in Chicago; 
6
her parents are Natividad and Armida Arellano; she attended the 
7
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she majored 
8
in Human Development and Family Studies, with a concentration 
9
in Child and Adolescent Development; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, She volunteered for service in El Progreso, 
11
Honduras in August of 2007 at a special education school; she 
12
plans to attend graduate school and looks forward to starting a 
13
family with Jose; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Jose Ochoa Bravo was born in Chicago; his parents 
15
are Jose Jesus Ochoa and Hilda Berenice Ochoa; he also attended 
16
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he met 
17
Vanessa; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, After his graduation he enrolled at the University 
19
of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and will graduate in 
20
2009; he plans to specialize in emergency medicine or 
21
orthopaedic surgery; and

    WHEREAS, Vanessa and Jose will be united in marriage on 
2
July 5, 2008; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5
congratulate Vanessa and Jose and wish them the best as they 
6
begin their new lives together; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to Vanessa and Jose as a symbol of our respect and 
9
esteem.
