HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the staff and 
4
congregation of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park on 
5
the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Our Lady of 
6
Humility School; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Our Lady of Humility School first opened the doors 
8
of education on September 8, 1958; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, The school was started by the Sisters of the Holy 
10
Child Jesus; the first principal of the school was Mother 
11
Florence Mary; and the current principal is Patrick L. Browne; 
12
and

 
13
    WHEREAS, The enrollment at the school stands at 259 
14
students in grades preschool through grade 8; and

 

15
    WHEREAS, The Church will celebrate the anniversary on July 
16
13, 2008 with a  Mass and a picnic; therefore, be it

 
17
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19
congratulate everyone involved with the education given by Our 
20
Lady of Humility School and wish the staff and faculty

continued success in the coming years; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3
presented to Patrick L. Browne, principal of Our Lady of 
4
Humility School, as a symbol of our respect.
