HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The highest award the National Council of the Boy 
3
Scouts of America can bestow upon a Scout is that of Eagle 
4
Scout; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Mark Orlich of Boy Scout Troop 95 of Medinah, will 
6
receive the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor on July 27, 
7
2008; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, In order to qualify as an Eagle Scout, a young man 
9
must demonstrate outstanding qualities of leadership, a 
10
willingness to be of help to others, and superior skills in 
11
camping, lifesaving, and first aid; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Mark was successful in leading a group of young 
13
men in building display cases for Trinity Lutheran Church's new 
14
daycare center; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Mark Orlich has been in scouting since he was five 
16
years of age; and

    WHEREAS, In earning this high rank, Mark joins an elite and 
18
honorable fraternity of achievers that counts among its members 
19
an extraordinary number of this nation's great leaders in 
20
business, government, education, and other sectors of society;

    WHEREAS, The achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout 
3
reflects favorably upon the recipient, his parents, his 
4
Scoutmaster, and his fellow scouts; therefore, be it 
 
5
    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7
join his family and friends in congratulating Mark Orlich upon 
8
attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout, and we commend him 
9
upon the unswerving dedication to excellence that is the 
10
hallmark of the Eagle Scout; and be it further

 
11
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12
presented to Eagle Scout Mark Orlich as an expression of our 
13
respect and esteem.
