HOUSE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4
Limestone High School Rockets softball team on the occasion of 
5
winning the Class 3A State tournament; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, The Limestone High School Rockets softball team 
7
captured the Class 3A State tournament championship with a 3-0 
8
shutout victory over Mattoon at EastSide Centre on June 5, 
9
2008, ending their season with a phenomenal 32-8 record; their 
10
victory earned Limestone High School its first State trophy in 
11
a team sport; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, In an impressive show of skill, Limestone High 
13
School Rockets pitcher Makenzie Camp pitched her third 
14
consecutive postseason shutout during the championship game; 
15
she ended the season with a streak of 30 scoreless innings; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, The members of the Limestone High School Rockets 
17
softball team are Sierra Redmon, Katelyn Rupert, Rachel Burns, 
18
Kristen Cooper, Chrissy Ragain, Jessica Dearing, Amy 
19
Ruschmeyer, Stephanie Richards, Chelsea Hoyle, Lindsay Hufeld, 
20
Courtney Hufeld, Makenzie Foiles, Makenzie Camp, Christina 
21
Celiberti, and Jaimie Joosten; the assistant coaches are Becky 
22
Bontz, Molly Hardesty, and Shelly Stoner and the team's

    WHEREAS, The members of the Limestone High School Rockets

softball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and

dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
9
congratulate the members of the Limestone High School Rockets 
10
softball team on the occasion of winning the Class 3A State 
11
tournament and wish them continued success and happiness in the 
12
future; and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14
presented to Limestone High School Rockets softball head coach 
15
Leanne Bonifas as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
