HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, South Central Community Services, Inc., a comprehensive human service agency, has committed itself to improving the quality of life for individuals and families by providing quality mental health, educational, socio-economic, and recreational programs and service throughout metropolitan Chicago for over 35 years; and

WHEREAS, This agency has proven to be an integral and vital part of the daily existence of its constituents, children, youth, adults, and seniors; the agency has been recognized and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) and the Council on Accreditation (COA) for its excellence in service delivery; and

WHEREAS, This agency will sponsor its 14th Annual "Promises Fulfilled" Gala Awards Dinner Dance on the 23rd day of August 2008; the proceeds from this fundraising event will be utilized to continue with and enhance the aforementioned programs and services; and

WHEREAS, Numerous businesswomen and businessmen will be honored for what they consistently contribute to the well-being and growth of various communities in the City of Chicago via their talents, expertise, and years of experience, as well as their generous financial donations; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers of South Central Community Services, Inc. on the occasion of their 14th Annual "Promises Fulfilled" Gala Awards Dinner Dance, extend our best wishes for the success of the event, and commend the agency's members for their continuous dedication to an organization that has provided much to improve the lives of its constituency; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the South Central Community Services, Inc. Board of Directors as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
