| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Gary |
| 4 |
| Joseph Sheldon of Aurora, who passed away on August 22, 2008; |
| 5 |
| and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on January 15, 1943 in Warren, Ohio, |
| 7 |
| the son of Joseph and Jane Sheldon; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was an United States Army veteran, serving in |
| 9 |
| the Vietnam War; he was a lifetime member and officer of the |
| 10 |
| Waidley V.F.W. Post 468 in Aurora; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph |
| 12 |
| Sheldon; his step-father, Harold Nelson; and his wife, Suzette |
| 13 |
| Sheldon; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Gary Sheldon is survived by his mother, Jane |
| 15 |
| Nelson; his children, Gary Jr., Brian, Lisa, and Andre; his |
| 16 |
| siblings, Eugene (Sally) Sheldon, Dennis (Jean) Sheldon, and |
| 17 |
| James Sheldon; his grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews; |
| 18 |
