| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Joseph Wolyn III of |
| 4 |
| Gurnee on the occasion of his achievement of the coveted rank |
| 5 |
| of Eagle Scout; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Wolyn is a member of Boy Scout Troop 677; |
| 7 |
| he began his scouting career at the age of 8 at the Cub Scout |
| 8 |
| rank of Bear; during his tenure, he has served as Troop Senior |
| 9 |
| Patrol Leader, Troop Patrol Leader, Assistant Quarter Master, |
| 10 |
| and Troop Historian; he is currently a senior at Warren |
| 11 |
| Township High School in Gurnee; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, To earn the designation of Eagle Scout, Joseph |
| 13 |
| Wolyn collected needed supplies for a non-profit pet shelter |
| 14 |
| called Save-A-Pet; organizing fellow scouts and family members |
| 15 |
| to pass out 1,000 fliers in four Gurnee neighborhoods and 1,500 |
| 16 |
| fliers at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Gurnee, he managed to |
| 17 |
| collect enough items to fill a one-car garage, including pet |
| 18 |
| food, rubber gloves, paper towels, bleach, cat beds, and pet |
| 19 |
| carriers, among many other items; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, Joseph Wolyn's dedication to his community and |
| 21 |
| country and his willingness to help those in need makes him a |
| 22 |
| model for the citizens of the State of Illinois; therefore, be |
