HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Preecha Tawjareon of 
4
Salem on receiving the Fourth Annual Illinois Rural Physician 
5
of Excellence Award; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Dr. Tawjareon practices radiology at Salem 
7
Township Hospital and Clay County Hospital in Flora; he is the 
8
Chief of Radiology at both hospitals and is the owner and 
9
president of Salem-Flora Radiology, S.C.; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Dr. Tawjareon has practiced in the Salem and Flora 
11
area since 1981; he and his wife, Chariya, have been married 
12
for 36 years; together, they have two daughters, Latita and 
13
Nisa; in his spare time he enjoys golf and traveling; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Dr. Tawjareon was born on August 21, 1941 in 
15
Chonburi, Thailand; he received his pre-medical education at 
16
Chulalonkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand with a degree in 
17
science; he received his medical degree at Siriraj Hospital, 
18
now known as the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital at 
19
Mahidol University in 1968; and

 
20
    WHEREAS, After beginning his medical practice in Thailand, 
21
he made the decision to come to the United States; he completed

an internship at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park in 1971; 
2
and completed his residency in radiology at Youngstown, Ohio in 
3
1974; and

    WHEREAS, After practicing in Youngstown, Dr. Tawjareon 
5
moved to Morton and practiced radiology in nearby Hopedale; in 
6
1981 he moved to Salem and began practicing at Salem Township 
7
Hospital and Clay County Hospital; therefore, be it

 
8
    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
10
congratulate Dr. Tawjareon, wish him continued success in his 
11
practice, and thank him for serving the people of the Salem and 
12
Flora area; and be it further

 
13
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14
presented to Dr. Tawjareon as a symbol of our respect and 
15
esteem.
