| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 |
| Central Catholic High School Saints Men's Cross Country Team |
| 5 |
| for the 2008 Cross Country season, under the direction of Head |
| 6 |
| Coach Tom Engelhorn and assistant coaches Seanan AlYasiri, |
| 7 |
| Emily Dewald, and Melinda McNeil; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, The Saints began their season by placing first at |
| 9 |
| the Normal Invitational meet out of seven teams, and fifth in |
| 10 |
| the Peoria Woodruff Invitational out of 34 teams; the Saints |
| 11 |
| placed third out of six teams in the Intercity Meet, the best |
| 12 |
| finish in the school's history; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, In the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartan Classic, the |
| 14 |
| Saints placed fourth out of 32 teams, once again setting a new |
| 15 |
| school record; in the Jacksonville Invitational, the Saints |
| 16 |
| emerged as champions, winning the entire invitational; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, During the post season, the Saints won their |
| 18 |
| second regional title; in the sectional meet, the Saints placed |
| 19 |
| fourth, earning a second trip to the Illinois High School |
| 20 |
| Association Class A State Championship Meet, where the Saints |
| 21 |
| placed 14th overall; therefore, be it
