| WHEREAS, David Patrick Conroy, a member of St. Monica Boy |
| 3 |
| Scout Troop 943, student of Fenwick High School, and an |
| 4 |
| outstanding citizen of Chicago's 45th Ward, will be awarded |
| 5 |
| scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout will be bestowed upon |
| 7 |
| David Patrick Conroy by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of |
| 8 |
| Honor ceremony on January 10, 2009; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, David Patrick Conroy's parents, Lydia and Patrick |
| 10 |
| Conroy, his grandmother, Mary K. Conroy, his siblings, |
| 11 |
| Christina Conroy and Claire Eileen Conroy, and his Scoutmaster, |
| 12 |
| Mike Kelly, are all exceedingly proud of his accomplishment; |
| 13 |
| and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Attaining the rank of Eagle Scout is achieved by |
| 15 |
| only two percent of boys enrolled in the scouting program; in |
| 16 |
| order to become an Eagle Scout, a scout must earn 21 merit |
| 17 |
| badges in addition to completing several community service |
| 18 |
| projects; David Patrick Conroy has completed all of the |
| 19 |
| requirements and has been examined by an Eagle Scout Board of |
| 20 |
| Review, which has certified his worthiness for this highest |
| 21 |
| scouting distinction; therefore, be it
