HOUSE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3
Representatives wish to congratulate Representative Scott 
4
Wilzbach of Salem on his service to the people of the 107th  
5
Representative District; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, State Representative Scott Wilzbach served with 
7
distinction at a particularly challenging time in Illinois 
8
history; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Scott Wilzbach was named one of Marion County's 
10
first Assistant State's Attorneys; he was appointed Marion 
11
County State's Attorney and elected to a full term in his own 
12
right in 1976; his son, Matthew, followed in his father's 
13
footsteps and currently serves as Marion County State's 
14
Attorney; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Representative Wilzbach has worked to help make a 
16
difference in South Central Illinois through volunteer work as 
17
a member of the Salem Chamber of Commerce and Salem Food 
18
Pantry, where his skills as a woodworker were put to use in 
19
building all the facility's shelving; he is a former deacon at 
20
the Salem Presbyterian Church; he has served as counsel for 
21
Salem Hospital and the Village of Kinmundy, and as a hearing 
22
officer for the Marion County Housing Authority; he has worked

with B.C.M.W. Community Services, Inc. to help administer 
2
grants under the LIHEAP Program to needy families; and

 
3
    WHEREAS, Representative Wilzbach and his wife, Melva, have 
4
three children, Matthew, Brian, and Michelle (Chambers), 10 
5
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Representative Wilzbach plans to continue 
7
practicing family law and enjoying woodworking, boating, 
8
riding his motorcycles, and spending time with his family; 
9
therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
11
NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
12
wish Representative Scott Wilzbach all the best in his future 
13
endeavors and congratulate him on his service to the people of 
14
the State of Illinois; and be it further

 
15
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16
presented to Representative Scott Wilzbach as an expression of 
17
our esteem and respect.
