| AN ACT concerning education.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 |
| 14-1.10 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (105 ILCS 5/14-1.10) (from Ch. 122, par. 14-1.10)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 14-1.10. Professional worker. "Professional worker" |
| 8 |
| means a trained specialist, and is
limited to speech |
| 9 |
| correctionist, school social worker, school counselor, school
|
| 10 |
| psychologist, psychologist intern, school nurse intern, school |
| 11 |
| social
worker intern, school counselor intern, certificated |
| 12 |
| school nurse, special
administrator intern, registered |
| 13 |
| therapist, professional consultant,
special administrator or |
| 14 |
| supervisor giving full time to special
education, behavior |
| 15 |
| analyst, and teacher of any class or program defined in this |
| 16 |
| Article
who meets the requirements of this Article, who has the |
| 17 |
| required special
training in the understandings, techniques, |
| 18 |
| and special methods of
instruction for children who because of |
| 19 |
| their disabling
conditions
are placed in any program provided |
| 20 |
| for in this Article, and who works in
such program.
