2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 149, AS AMENDED, in | ||||||
3 | Section 7, in the introductory clause, after "Section 3.5", by | ||||||
4 | inserting "and adding Section 54.7"; and
| ||||||
5 | in Section 7, immediately below Sec. 3.5, by inserting the | ||||||
6 | following: | ||||||
7 | "(225 ILCS 60/54.7 new) | ||||||
8 | Sec. 54.7. Physician delegation of authority; | ||||||
9 | administration of intense pulsed light system. A physician may | ||||||
10 | delegate the operation of an intense pulsed light system or a | ||||||
11 | laser for the purpose of epilation, photorejuvenation, or other | ||||||
12 | non-medical cosmetic procedures to a physician assistant, | ||||||
13 | advanced practice nurse, registered nurse, electrologist, or | ||||||
14 | other personnel, provided those persons operating the intense | ||||||
15 | pulsed light system or laser have adequate and appropriate | ||||||
16 | training in the use of the device, as recommended by the |
