| AN ACT concerning State government.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Local Government
Consolidation Commission |

| Act is amended by changing Section 25 as follows:
|

| Sec. 25. Report. The Commission shall render its final |
| 8 |
| report to the
General
Assembly not later than December 31, 2007
|
| 9 |
| 2006, setting out its findings and
recommendations and |
| 10 |
| proposing those measures it considers necessary to effect
|
| 11 |
| essential changes and improvements in the existing laws |
| 12 |
| relating to any or
all of the matters enumerated in Section 10 |
| 13 |
| of this Act.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |

| becoming law.
