| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 340 on page 2, by |

| replacing lines 10 through 25 with the following:

| "follow-up services on substantiated cases. In the case of a |
| 5 |
| report of alleged or suspected abuse or neglect that places an |
| 6 |
| eligible adult at risk of injury or death, a provider agency |
| 7 |
| shall respond to the report without delay and shall ensure that |
| 8 |
| it is capable of responding to such a report 24 hours per day, |
| 9 |
| 7 days per week. A provider agency may use an on-call system to |
| 10 |
| respond to reports of alleged or suspected abuse or neglect |
| 11 |
| after hours and on weekends."; and
|
| 12 |
| on page 4, by deleting lines 7 and 8.
