| AN ACT concerning State government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section 4 as follows:
|
6 |
| (20 ILCS 105/4) (from Ch. 23, par. 6104)

| Sec. 4. There is created the
the Department on Aging. The |
8 |
| Director of the Department
on Aging, in conjunction with the |
9 |
| Director of the Department of Public Aid
shall prepare and |
10 |
| implement a plan to transfer all personnel, materials,
books, |
11 |
| records, appropriations and equipment related to "Services to |
12 |
| Older
People" in the Department of Public Aid as described in |
13 |
| Article VIII of,
"The Illinois Public Aid Code", to the |
14 |
| Department on Aging by the effective
date of this Act. The |
15 |
| Department on Aging shall administer programs related
to |
16 |
| "Services to Older People", described in Article VIII of, "The |
17 |
| Illinois
Public Aid Code", on the effective date of this Act. |
18 |
| Upon the effective date of this Act, the Department on |
19 |
| Aging shall be
the single State agency for receiving and |
20 |
| disbursing federal funds made
available under the "Older |
21 |
| Americans Act".
