    Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act to extend the repeal date of the Acupuncture Practice Act from January 1, 2008 to January 1, 2018. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Regulatory Sunset Act is amended by changing
5 Section 4.18 and by adding Section 4.28 as follows:
 
6     (5 ILCS 80/4.18)
7     Sec. 4.18. Acts repealed January 1, 2008 and December 31,
8 2008.
9     (a) The following Acts are repealed on January 1, 2008:
10         The Acupuncture Practice Act.
11         The Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act.
12         The Home Medical Equipment and Services Provider
13     License Act.
14         The Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act.
15         The Illinois Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
16     Practice Act.
17         The Marriage and Family Therapy Licensing Act.
18         The Nursing Home Administrators Licensing and
19     Disciplinary Act.
20         The Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987.
21         The Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987.
22         The Podiatric Medical Practice Act of 1987.
23         The Structural Pest Control Act.

1     (b) The following Acts are repealed on December 31, 2008:
2         The Medical Practice Act of 1987.
3         The Environmental Health Practitioner Licensing Act.

6     (5 ILCS 80/4.28 new)
7     Sec. 4.28. Act repealed on January 1, 2018. The following
8 Act is repealed on January 1, 2018:
9     The Acupuncture Practice Act.
 
10     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
11 becoming law.
