AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1226

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1226 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4     "Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is
5 amended by adding Section 11.5 as follows:
 
6     (225 ILCS 15/11.5 new)
7     Sec. 11.5. Temporary practice by persons licensed in other
8 jurisdictions.
9     (a) An individual who is licensed in good standing to
10 practice psychology independently and at the doctoral level in
11 another state, province, or territory may render clinical
12 psychological services, as defined in Section 2 of this Act, in
13 this State for up to 10 calendar days per year, consecutively
14 or in aggregate, without obtaining separate licensure under
15 this Act. Any portion of a calendar day in which the
16 psychologist provides services in this State is considered one

1 working day. In no case shall a person practicing pursuant to
2 this subsection (a) establish a permanent office location in
3 Illinois, nor prepare or publish letterhead, business cards, or
4 similar publicity materials listing an Illinois address or
5 Illinois-based phone number. Time devoted to providing
6 testimony in court or in deposition shall not be counted as
7 part of the 10 calendar days allowed under this subsection (a).
8     (b) An individual licensed to practice psychology in
9 another jurisdiction who is providing services to the American
10 Red Cross in response to a disaster may practice psychology in
11 this State for no more than 60 days per year without applying
12 for a license.
13     (c) Any psychologist practicing pursuant to subsection (a)
14 or (b) of this Section shall conform his or her practice to the
15 mandates of and shall be subject to the prohibitions and
16 sanctions, as well as the provisions on hearings and
17 investigations, contained in this Act and any rules adopted
18 thereunder while he or she is practicing in this State.".
