AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1253

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1253 on page 1, by

deleting lines 9 through 14; and

on page 1, by replacing lines 22 and 23 with the following:

    ""Person
(b) "person with a developmental disability" 
6
means any person or persons so diagnosed and as defined in the 
7
Mental"; and
 
8
on page 2, by replacing line 1 with the following:
9
"Health and Developmental Disabilities Code. Community mental 
10
health boards operating under this Act may in their 
11
jurisdiction, by a majority vote, add to the definition of 
12
"person with a developmental disability". ;"; and 
 
13
on page 2, by replacing lines 2 through 6 with the following:
14
    ""Mental illness" has the meaning ascribed to that term in 
15
the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code.
