| AN ACT concerning revenue.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section 20-160 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (35 ILCS 200/20-160)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 20-160. Office may be declared vacant. If any county |
| 8 |
| collector
fails to account and pay over as required in Sections |
| 9 |
| 20-140 and
20-150, the office may be declared vacant by the |
| 10 |
| circuit
county board, or by any court of the judicial circuit |
| 11 |
| in which the county seat is located and
in which suit is |
| 12 |
| brought on his or her official bond.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
