    Amends the Fire Protection District Act.  Provides that a fire protection district may enforce building code ordinances in unincorporated areas of a county, but only with the express approval of the county board.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Fire Protection District Act is amended  by 
5
adding Section 25 as follows:

    (70 ILCS 705/25  new)

    Sec. 25. Ordinances in unincorporated areas of a county; 
8
enforcement.  A fire protection district may enforce building 
9
code ordinances in unincorporated areas of a county, but only  
10
with the express approval of the county board.
