AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1508

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1508 by replacing

everything after the enacting clause with the following:

    "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended  by adding Section 
5
5-6008 as follows:

    (55 ILCS 5/5-6008  new)

    Sec. 5-6008. Building permits.  Once a building permit is 
8
issued, the applicable building codes of any unit of local 
9
government that are in effect at the time of the issuance of 
10
the permit shall be the only building codes that apply for the 
11
duration of the building permit.

    Section 10. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended  by 
13
adding Section 11-39-4 as follows:

    (65 ILCS 5/11-39-4  new)
