| replacing lines 21 through 23 with the following:

| "For initial renewal, the visiting professor must |

| successfully pass a general competency examination authorized |

| by the Department by rule, unless he or she was issued an |
| 7 |
| initial visiting professor permit on or after January 1, 2007, |

| but prior to July 1, 2007.".
