| AN ACT concerning municipalities.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section 11-42-1 as follows:
|

| (65 ILCS 5/11-42-1) (from Ch. 24, par. 11-42-1)

| Sec. 11-42-1. The corporate authorities of each |
8 |
| municipality may license,
tax, and regulate auctioneers, |
9 |
| private detectives, demolition contractors,
money changers, |
10 |
| bankers other than financial institutions , brokers other than |
11 |
| insurance brokers, barbers, and the
keepers or owners of lumber |
12 |
| yards, lumber storehouses, livery stables, public
scales, ice |
13 |
| cream parlors, coffee houses, florists, detective agencies, |
14 |
| barber
shops and sellers of tickets for theatricals, shows, |
15 |
| amusements, athletic
events and other exhibitions at a place |
16 |
| other than the theatre or location
where the theatricals, |
17 |
| shows, amusements, athletic events and other exhibitions
are |
18 |
| given or exhibited.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
