| line 14, after "study.", by inserting "The study may build upon |

| previous efforts by the Department, including studies |

| conducted under its Critical Skills Shortage Initiative, which |
| 6 |
| brought together private-sector employers and economic |
| 7 |
| development entities as well as workforce, educational, and |
| 8 |
| public-sector representatives to identify growth industries, |
| 9 |
| industry skills shortages, and demand occupations, to |
| 10 |
| determine root causes for the shortages, and to develop |
| 11 |
| solutions to fill the skills gaps and worker shortages.".
