    AN ACT concerning local government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
3
represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Township Code is amended  by adding Section 
5
200-14b as follows:

    (60 ILCS 1/200-14b  new)
7
    Sec. 200-14b. Technical rescue services.  A township that 
8
provides fire protection services may fix, charge, and collect 
9
reasonable fees for technical rescue services provided by the 
10
township.  The total amount collected may not exceed the 
11
reasonable cost of providing the technical rescue services and 
12
may include charges for personnel and equipment costs.

    Section 10. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended  by 
14
adding Section 11-6-6 as follows:

    (65 ILCS 5/11-6-6  new)
16
    Sec. 11-6-6. Technical rescue services.  The corporate 
17
authorities of a municipality that operates a fire department 
18
may fix, charge, and collect reasonable fees for technical 
19
rescue services provided by the department.   The total amount 
20
collected may not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the 
21
technical rescue services and may include charges for personnel

    Section 15. The Fire Protection District Act is amended  by

adding Section 26 as follows:

    (70 ILCS 705/26  new)

    Sec. 26. Technical rescue services.  A fire protection 
6
district may fix, charge, and collect reasonable fees for 
7
technical rescue services provided by the district.  The total 
8
amount collected may not exceed the reasonable cost of 
9
providing the technical rescue services and may include charges 
10
for personnel and equipment costs.
