| SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, During the 94th General Assembly, the Legislative |
| 3 |
| Task Force on Employment of Persons with Past Criminal |
| 4 |
| Convictions was established pursuant to House Joint Resolution |
| 5 |
| 107 for the purpose of conducting public hearings and examining |
| 6 |
| the barriers faced by persons with past criminal convictions |
| 7 |
| with respect to obtaining employment and for the purpose of |
| 8 |
| evaluating those recommendations made by the Governor's |
| 9 |
| Statewide Community Safety and Reentry Working Group; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Further work is needed on these issues; therefore, |
| 11 |
| be it
|
| 12 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
| 13 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 14 |
| CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Legislative Task Force on |
| 15 |
| Employment of Persons with Past Criminal Convictions is |
| 16 |
| extended; and be it further
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, That the Legislative Task Force on Employment of |
| 18 |
| Persons with Past Criminal Convictions shall submit a report, |
| 19 |
| as established in its authorizing resolution, on or before |
| 20 |
| December 31, 2007; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the |
