SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express 
3
their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Patricia 
4
"Peggy" J. Cooper of Alton, who passed away on January 28, 
5
2007; and

 
6
    WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper was born on March 17, 1923 in 
7
Dublin, Ireland; her parents were George and Florence (Twomey) 
8
Kenny; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, On June 8, 1945, she married Dale Cooper in 
10
England; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper was retired from St. Mary's 
12
School, where she worked in the cafeteria; she was a member of 
13
St. Mary's Catholic Church; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper was preceded in death by her 
15
husband, Dale Cooper; and her parents; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Patricia Cooper is survived by her sons and 
17
daughters-in-law, Clifford and Susan Cooper and Gary and 
18
Carolyn Cooper; her grandchildren, Dale (Meg) Cooper, Jen (Jon) 
19
Kenney, and Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, and Kaitlin Cooper; her 
20
great-grandson, Garrett Thomas Cooper; and her sister, Anne

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
3
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4
her family and friends, the passing of Patricia "Peggy" J. 
5
Cooper; and be it further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the family of Patricia Cooper as a symbol of our 
8
sympathy.
