| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of David A. Lewis of Alton, who passed away |
| 4 |
| on February 2, 2007;
and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, David Lewis was born August 8, 1946, in Alton; his |
| 6 |
| parents were William D. Lewis and Mary (Springgate) |
| 7 |
| Lewis-Daughhette; he was married to Valerie (Goeken) Lewis on |
| 8 |
| March 19, 1976; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, David Lewis was employed at Illinois Power Company |
| 10 |
| in East Alton for 26 years and was a member of St. Mary's |
| 11 |
| Catholic Church; he was a member for more than 15 years and |
| 12 |
| past president of the Marquette Catholic High School Booster |
| 13 |
| Club and was also involved in Catholic Charities; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, He was very involved in the Alton community and |
| 15 |
| loved to spend time with his family and friends; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and |
| 17 |
| daughter, Tammy Greco; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, David Lewis is survived by his wife; his children |
| 19 |
| and their spouses, Sarah and Mark Peipert, Kerry and Brad Jun, |
| 20 |
| Matt and Debbie Lewis, Chad and Beth Lewis, Tony and Lynn |

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 11 |
| his family and friends, the passing of David A. Lewis; and be |
| 12 |
| it further
|
| 13 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 14 |
| presented to the family of David Lewis as a symbol of our |
| 15 |
| sympathy.
