SENATE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Michael N. Sharwarko of Burbank, who 
4
passed away on March 17, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Michael Sharwarko was a veteran of World War II, 
6
serving in the United States Navy; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, He was ordained Deacon in 1978 by the Archdiocese 
8
of Chicago, and  continued to serve the Catholic Church as a 
9
permanent Deacon at St. Louis de Montfort Parish in Oak Lawn;  
10
and

 
11
    WHEREAS, He received the Sertoma Man of the Year in 1992 
12
for his community service; and he was the dedicated organizer 
13
of the St. Louis de Montfort Food Pantry; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Michael Sharwarko was the beloved husband of 60 
15
years to the late Mary (nee Gibson); the loving father of 
16
Patricia Chudy, Michael (Dorothy), Daniel (Susan), James 
17
(Laura), Joseph, Gerald, Eileen (Larrie) Hokinson, Rita, David 
18
(Mary) and the late Robert and John; the special father-in-law 
19
to Sue Sharwarko and Jo Ann (Jeffrey) Mahan; the cherished 
20
grandfather of 21 and the great-grandfather of 15; the devoted 
21
son to the late Mary and John Sharwarko; the caring brother to

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
4
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
his family and friends, the passing of Michael N. Sharwarko; 
6
and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Michael N. Sharwarko as a symbol of 
9
our sympathy.
