SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Norma Jeanne Stobaugh of Farmington, who 
4
passed away on April 5, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Norma Jeanne Stobaugh was born on January 22, 
6
1932, in Peoria to E. Ellwood and Helen M. (Trenton) Paine; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, She married Cyril A. Bud Stobaugh Jr. on July 3, 
8
1954, in Peoria;



she was a 1954 graduate of Bradley University; 
9
and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Norma Stobaugh was an elementary school teacher 
11
for 22 years, teaching primarily at Limestone-Walters School, 
12
and retiring in 1980; she was a member of St. Matthew's 
13
Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, the 
14
Farmington Women of the Moose, and the retired Teachers 
15
Sorority Alpha Delta Kappa; her greatest joy was her 
16
grandchildren; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and one 
18
son, James E. Stobaugh; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Norma Stobaugh is survived by her husband, Cyril; 
20
her two sons, Michael A. (Sherry) Stobaugh and Timothy J.

Tourangeau; and her grandchildren, David, Sarah, Ryan, Rachel,

Erica, and Marc; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
her family and friends, the passing of Norma Jeanne Stobaugh; 
7
and be it further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Norma Jeanne Stobaugh as a symbol of 
10
our sympathy.
