| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Marshall Cash, who passed away on March |
| 4 |
| 30, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Marshall Cash was born on December 23, 1927 in |
| 6 |
| Blytheville, Arkansas; his parents were Frank Cash and Estella |
| 7 |
| Robinson Cash; he married Vivian Bell on September 19, 1956; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Marshall Cash moved with his family to Illinois, |
| 10 |
| where he attended Garrison School; he served in the United |
| 11 |
| States Army for many years and fought in World War II; he was a |
| 12 |
| butcher at Armour Packing for 15 years; after leaving the |
| 13 |
| packing house, he did construction until he became disabled; he |
| 14 |
| was a Sergeant of Arms for Ernest Smith Resident Council; he |
| 15 |
| was a dedicated member for three years; and he was an auxiliary |
| 16 |
| member of the Church Road Fire Department; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Marshall Cash was a well known person in his |
| 18 |
| community, who would help anyone that he could; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, Marshall Cash was preceded in death by his |
| 20 |
| children, Patricia, Marshall, and Senora; his sister, Pearl; |
| 21 |
| and his brothers, Frank and John; and
