| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
U.S. Army Private Cole Spencer of Gays on |
| 4 |
| April 28, 2007, in Salman Pak, Iraq; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Private Cole Spencer attended high school at |
| 6 |
| Heritage Baptist Academy; upon his entry into the U.S. Army, he |
| 7 |
| was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd |
| 8 |
| Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Benning, |
| 9 |
| Georgia; he was deployed to Iraq in March 2007, where he served |
| 10 |
| with Task Force Marne, patrolling southeast of Baghdad; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Private Cole Spencer is survived by his parents, |
| 12 |
| Mark and Candy Spencer; and his brother, Brian; therefore, be |
| 13 |
| it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
| 15 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 16 |
| his family and friends, the passing of U.S. Army Private Cole |
| 17 |
| Spencer; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That we honor the memory of Private Spencer and |
| 19 |
| his willingness to serve our country which led to him making |
| 20 |
| the ultimate sacrifice; and be it further
