SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Leanne L. Perkey, who passed away on March 7, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Leanne Perkey was born on June 6, 1947 in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Beverly Wacek; she attended Beaver Lake Grade School until the family relocated to Waupaca, Wisconsin in 1958; she was a 1965 graduate of Waupaca High School; and

WHEREAS, On October 1, 1966, she married Charles R. Perkey in Waupaca; and

WHEREAS, Leanne Perkey graduated with honors from DePaul University and went on to earn her CPA certification; most recently, Leanne Perkey was employed by Frederick A. Weinberg and Company as an accountant; and

WHEREAS, Leanne Perkey was preceded in death by her parents, her sister-in-law, Sharon Stumpf, and her brother-in-law, Roger Goedert; and

WHEREAS, Leanne Perkey leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of forty years, Charles; her son, Christopher, (Karie Koster); her daughter Brandelynn (Todd) Ethridge; her grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Annalise Perkey, and Keagan and Abigail Ethridge; her mother-in-law, Clarita Parr; her sisters, Lynda Schmitz (John Carlin), Lana (Roy) Voigt, and Loralyn (Michael) Simon; her brothers, Richard (Kathy) Wacek, Randall (Char) Wacek, and James (Tammy) Wacek; her sister-in-law, Carolyn (Robert) Schaaf; her sister-in-law Judith Johnson; her brother-in-law, Kenneth (Sandy) Perkey; her dear friends, Terry and Dorae Block; and her nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Leanne Perkey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Leanne Perkey as a symbol of our sympathy.
