| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Edith J. Merold of Waukegan, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on June 17, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold was born on June 17, 1910 in |
| 6 |
| Wadsworth and remained a life-long resident of the |
| 7 |
| Wadsworth-Waukegan area; she was baptized at St. Patrick Church |
| 8 |
| in Wadsworth and was a life long member of the church; she was |
| 9 |
| united in marriage to James R. Merold on November 3, 1934 at |
| 10 |
| St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold was employed at Druce Drug Co. in |
| 12 |
| Waukegan for many years; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold was preceded in death by her |
| 14 |
| husband; and her brother, Edward Armour; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Edith J. Merold is survived by her son, Reverend |
| 16 |
| James E. Merold; therefore, be it
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL |
| 18 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 19 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Edith J. Merold; and be |
| 20 |
