| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Jeffrey T. Meyers of Naperville, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on July 29, 2007; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Jeffrey T. "Jeff" Meyers was born April 14, 1958 |
| 6 |
| in Aurora, the oldest son of Thomas and Geraldine "Geri" |
| 7 |
| Meyers; he was a graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High |
| 8 |
| School, St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota with a B.S. |
| 9 |
| Degree, and Aurora University with a Master's Degree; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He was employed for the last 17 years by Omron in |
| 11 |
| Schaumburg as a Technical Services Manager, traveling all over |
| 12 |
| the United States and Japan; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, Jeff Meyers was an avid golfer and Chicago White |
| 14 |
| Sox fan; he was a volunteer at Hesed House and was a Board |
| 15 |
| Member of the YMCA, involved with the Y Princess Program; he |
| 16 |
| was also a member of the Naperville Planning Commission; and he |
| 17 |
| participated in "Light the Night", an annual nation-wide walk |
| 18 |
| raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his maternal |
| 20 |
| grandparents, Jess (nee Hankes) and Carl Schomer; and paternal |
| 21 |
| grandparents, Cora (nee Bagley) and Otto W. Meyers; and
