| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Michael Seaton of Chicago, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on January 11, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Michael Seaton was born on May 26, 1959 in Chicago |
| 6 |
| to the late Edward Benjamin Seaton and Barbara Jean Seaton; he |
| 7 |
| attended and graduated from Shoop Elementary School and Morgan |
| 8 |
| Park High School located in Chicago; he later attended Loop |
| 9 |
| Junior College and Malcolm X College where he completed |
| 10 |
| coursework in computer technology; he earned numerous |
| 11 |
| certificates and accolades for his computer expertise; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Michael Seaton began his career in the computer |
| 13 |
| field with Hewlett Packard during the early 1980s; repairing |
| 14 |
| and building computers was a passion that he freely shared; |
| 15 |
| Michael and his wife began the process for a not-for-profit |
| 16 |
| organization (Kelechi Enterprise), so that he could share his |
| 17 |
| knowledge and gifts on a larger scale before his passing; at |
| 18 |
| the time of his death, he was employed as a System |
| 19 |
| Administrator at Advocate Trinity Hospital; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, On February 19, 2000, Michael was united in Holy |
| 21 |
| Matrimony to Melody L. Crim; during their nearly 8 years of |
| 22 |
| marriage, Michael was a devoted husband and loving step-father, |
