SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Beverly Hynes, who passed away on 
4
December 31, 2007; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Beverly Hynes was born on March 7, 1930; her 
6
parents were Milton and Ann Eby; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Beverly Hynes attended elementary school, but did 
8
not attend high school in order to care for her sick mother; 
9
she was a fantastic baseball player in her youth; and

 
10
    WHEREAS, Beverly Hynes worked as a cashier in the Washburn 
11
Trade School cafeteria for 27 years, where she helped many men 
12
and women succeed in their training in the building trades; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Beverly Hynes was the loving mother of Patricia, 
14
Michael, Margaret, Donna, and William, the proud grandmother of 
15
11, and the great-grandmother of 5; and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Beverly Hynes was a lifelong Democrat and an avid 
17
Chicago White Sox fan; and
 
18
    WHEREAS, Beverly Hynes will be remembered by all who knew 
19
and loved her as a strong, generous, and pious person who would

help anyone in need, regardless of the cost; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
3
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4
her family and friends, the passing of Beverly Hynes; and be it 
5
further

 
6
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7
presented to the family of Beverly Hynes as an expression of 
8
our sympathy.
