SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Betty Gorndt Cameron, who passed away on 
4
November 13, 2006; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron was born on January 28, 1927; 
6
she was the daughter of Bob and Mary Gorndt; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron attended St. Petronille's 
8
Catholic School; she graduated from Glenbard West High School 
9
in 1945 and from Drake University in 1950; she was a member of 
10
Chi Omega Sorority; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron served as a faithful employee 
12
of the Illinois Toll Highway Authority for 25 years; and

 
13
    WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron was a concert soprano 
14
vocalist; she was a Minister of Care for the Joliet Diocese; 
15
and

 
16
    WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron was the loving mother of Bob 
17
and Tom and the loving sister of Jeannie and Judy; therefore, 
18
be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL

ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

his family and friends, the passing of Betty Gorndt Cameron;

and be it further

    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

presented to the family of Betty Gorndt Cameron as an 
6
expression of our sympathy.
