SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Thecla M. Aaron of Peoria, who passed 
4
away on February 12, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Thecla Aaron was born on January 14, 1907 in 
6
Spring Valley; her parents were Louis and Elizabeth Egel Brida; 
7
she married Frederick Aaron on July 1, 1930 in LaSalle; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Thecla Aaron grew up and was educated in Mark and 
9
at Hopkins Township High School in Granville; she attended the 
10
business college in LaSalle for three years; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, Thecla Aaron was employed for 10 years at Westclox 
12
in LaSalle; she later worked at Methodist Hospital in Peoria as 
13
registrar; and

 
14
    WHEREAS, Thecla Aaron was a member of St. Bernard Catholic 
15
Church; and
 
16
    WHEREAS, Thecla Aaron was preceded in death by her husband; 
17
her sons, Thomas and Joseph Aaron; and her three brothers and 
18
two sisters; and

 
19
    WHEREAS, Thecla Aaron is survived by her daughter, Thecla

(William) Keenan; her sons, Paul (Carol) Aaron and Alan 
2
(Judith) Aaron; her 13 grandchildren; and her 19 
3
great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
5
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6
her family and friends, the passing of Thecla Aaron; and be it 
7
further

 
8
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9
presented to the family of Thecla Aaron as an expression of our 
10
sympathy.
