| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Dennis R. Cobb of Waukegan, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on February 19, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Dennis R. Cobb was born October 3, 1951 in |
| 6 |
| Waukegan and married Diane Killian in May 1984 in Waukegan; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Dennis Cobb was a policeman for the city of |
| 8 |
| Waukegan for 29 1/2 years retiring in 2005 as an Evidence |
| 9 |
| Manager and Patrolman; he was awarded the northeastern Illinois |
| 10 |
| crime lab "Friend of the Lab" given in recognition of superior |
| 11 |
| evidence handling; he was a former member of the Lake County |
| 12 |
| major crime scene task force and was also a field training |
| 13 |
| officer and evidence technician; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the American Croatian Waukegan |
| 15 |
| Tamburitzans Club, Fraternal Order of Police, Illinois Police |
| 16 |
| Association, former den leader for the Boy Scouts, and had |
| 17 |
| coached baseball for the Waukegan Park District;
he was a |
| 18 |
| veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam |
| 19 |
| era; he enjoyed woodworking, photography, videography, |
| 20 |
| remodeling, and volunteering at the Croatian Hall during Friday |
| 21 |
| night fish fries, but above all else, he was a dedicated |
| 22 |
| husband, father and grandfather; and
