SENATE RESOLUTION


 
2
    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Raymond "Pete" Krause Sr. of North 
4
Chicago, who passed away on March 5, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Raymond Krause Sr. was born on December 25, 1930 
6
in North Chicago and lived there his entire life; and

 
7
    WHEREAS, He officially retired from Fansteel in 1995 but 
8
held a variety of "busy" jobs until 2004; he was a lifetime 
9
member of the International Association of Machinists and 
10
Aerospace Workers; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army as a Field 
12
Clerk with the 2nd Light Armor Division from 1951-1953 and 
13
received the Korean Service Medal and the Combat Infantry 
14
Badge; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Mr. Krause was preceded in death by his wife, 
16
Alice, in 1996; his parents, William J. and Louise Krause; many 
17
brothers and sisters; and one great-granddaughter; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Raymond Krause is survived by his daughter, Linda 
19
(Ron) Hoover; his sons, Ray Jr. (Denise), Steven (Maureen 
20
Baker), and Thomas (Gina Miller); several grandchildren;

great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews; he is also 
2
survived by his sister, June (Roger) Jorgesen; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
4
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
his family and friends, the passing of Raymond "Pete" Krause 
6
Sr.; and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Raymond "Pete" Krause Sr. as a 
9
symbol of our sincere sympathy.
