SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3
learn of the death of
Rose Marie Decatoire of Springfield, who 
4
passed away on April 21, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Rose Marie Decatoire was born on May 7, 1920, in 
6
Springfield; she was the daughter of George and Rosina Cucchi 
7
D'Pasquale; she married Valery Decatoire on October 17, 1936; 
8
he preceded her in death; and

 
9
    WHEREAS, Rose Marie Decatoire was a member of St. Aloysius 
10
Church and a past member of Knights of Columbus Ladies 
11
Auxiliary 4179; and

 
12
    WHEREAS, Rose Marie Decatoire was an avid Cubs fan and 
13
enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards, and working on 
14
crossword puzzles; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Rose Marie Decatoire was preceded in death by her 
16
parents and her husband; and

 
17
    WHEREAS, Rose Marie Decatoire is survived by her daughters, 
18
Carole (James R.) Enlow, Rosalie (James W.) McDermott, Jean 
19
(William A.) Spainhour, Nancy (Merlyn) Hepperly, and Susan 
20
Decatoire; her son, Valery (Bobbie) Decatoire; her 17

grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; and her several 
2
cousins; therefore, be it

 
3
    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
4
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
her family and friends, the passing of Rose Marie Decatoire; 
6
and be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Rose Marie Decatoire as an 
9
expression of our sympathy.
