SENATE RESOLUTION

    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3
learn of the death of Lucas Parker Boente of Carlinville, who 
4
passed away on May 13, 2008; and

 
5
    WHEREAS, Lucas Boente was born January 27, 1986, in 
6
Litchfield, the first child of Greg P. and Regina "Tink" 
7
(Goodman) Boente; and

 
8
    WHEREAS, Luke had been in the maintenance and propane 
9
division of J.F. Boente & Sons in Carlinville since he was 15 
10
years old; and

 
11
    WHEREAS, He loved spending time with his family and friends 
12
and being a big brother to his sisters; Luke's hobbies included 
13
goose hunting, bass fishing, golfing, and spending time 
14
outdoors; and

 
15
    WHEREAS, Luke was a Class of 2004 graduate of Carlinville 
16
High School, and had attended Lewis & Clark Community College 
17
and Blackburn College, where he played golf; and

 
18
    WHEREAS, Surviving family members are his parents, Greg and 
19
Tink Boente; his sisters, Brooke and Lauren "Nikki" Boente; his 
20
grandparents, Gene and Jan Goodman and Larry and Shirley

Boente; his great-grandmother, Eula Ornellas; several aunts, 
2
uncles and cousins; and Duke; therefore, be it

    RESOLVED, BY THE  SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL 
4
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5
his family and friends, the passing of Lucas Parker Boente; and 
6
be it further

 
7
    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8
presented to the family of Lucas Parker Boente as a symbol of 
9
our sincere sympathy.
