| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Edward Alexander Todd of McHenry, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on June 27, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Edward Alexander Todd was born January 29, 1926, |
| 6 |
| in Chicago, to Edward and Edna (Saxon) Todd; he married Elaine |
| 7 |
| Virginia Bradley on January 22, 1949; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps in |
| 9 |
| 1943; he fought as a turret gunner on B-24 flying missions out |
| 10 |
| of Italy over Germany; after the war, he became a union |
| 11 |
| bricklayer; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, From 1953 through 1972, he was a sales manager for |
| 13 |
| Dee Concrete Accessories in Chicago and McHenry; in 1973, he |
| 14 |
| founded JET Concrete Forming Accessories of McHenry with his |
| 15 |
| sons; he never retired and worked and lived with joy and |
| 16 |
| enthusiasm; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; and |
| 18 |
| his son, Edward Karl Todd; and
|
| 19 |
| WHEREAS, He is survived by his sons, Terry Jordan and John |
| 20 |
| Edward Todd; therefore, be it
