| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |

| learn of the death of Garnet Marie Calcari of Benld, who passed |
| 4 |
| away April 29, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born March 23, 1926 in East Gillespie to |
| 6 |
| the late Arthur and Marie (Johnson) Yemm; she later married |
| 7 |
| William J. "Sarge" Calcari, Sr.; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to |
| 9 |
| Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4547 in Gillespie and the Eastern |
| 10 |
| Star; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Garnet Marie Calcari was preceded in death by her |
| 12 |
| parents; her husband; her son, Bruce Calcari; her daughter, Eva |
| 13 |
| Calcari; her brothers, Harold Yemm, Leon Yemm, Ralph Yemm, |
| 14 |
| Willie Yemm, and Roy Davis; her sister, Sue Hollis; and her |
| 15 |
| great-granddaughter, Lark Elizabeth Bersch; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Garnet Marie Calcari is survived by her sons, |
| 17 |
| William J. Calcari, Jr., and his wife, Linda, Gary L. Calcari, |
| 18 |
| John Calcari and his wife, Paula, and Christopher Calcari; her |
| 19 |
| daughters, Gina M. Mendenhall and her husband, Mike, and Teresa |
| 20 |
| Bersch; her twelve grandchildren; and her fifteen |
| 21 |
| great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
