| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of
Nina Dorchincez of Benton, who passed |
| 4 |
| away on November 2, 2008; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Nina Dorchincez was born on July 22, 1933 in |
| 6 |
| Kalamazoo, Michigan; she was the daughter of Elwood Des Voignes |
| 7 |
| and Helma (Grimes) Des Voignes; she married Gene Dorchincez on |
| 8 |
| June 22, 1962; he preceded her in death on May 11, 2001; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Nina Dorchincez became the owner of the Kewpee |
| 10 |
| Café in Benton after purchasing the restaurant from her mother |
| 11 |
| and step-father, Helma and Farrell Sneed, who owned the |
| 12 |
| restaurant for several years; after a short retirement in |
| 13 |
| Florida, she returned to Benton to open a new restaurant with |
| 14 |
| her son, named Farrell's; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Nina Dorchincez was preceded in death by her |
| 16 |
| husband; her parents; her daughter, Sue Easley; and her |
| 17 |
| brother, Bud Des Voignes; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Nina Dorchincez is survived by her children, Danny |
| 19 |
| and Mary Thompson, Mark and Donna Thompson, Beth and Willie |
| 20 |
| Carver, Mike and Julie Garrett, Toni Dorchincez, Angelique and |
| 21 |
| Fred Trelli, and B.J. and Ellie Dorchincez; her 12 |
